Project Overview: One small-town carnival, from the last of the daylight to full dark. The photos run in the order I took them, so you can watch the sky give up and the fairground lights take over. Somewhere in between, a whole town shows up to spend a night together.

Some are caught up in the noise, and some are somewhere else entirely, quiet in the middle of it all. Nostalgic Intimacy & Connection: Nobody posed. These are the small moments people share when they forget anyone is watching: friends, couples, and kids who don’t know yet how fast this age goes.
Visual Contrast & Lighting: A bruised, stormy sky overhead. Neon from the games, food stands, and rides below. Compositional Depth: I frame people through what’s around them, from unexpected angles and along lines that pull you in, so every face stays tied to the place it’s standing.
